Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep tour is a wonderful journey which is design by Global Holidays Adventure for those adventure lovers who want to explore the Mustang culture which is similar like as Tibetan, Local people, visit most picturesque areas, ancient cave, historic monasteries with in a shot period of time. Upper Mustang is the mini Tibet, people are influence by the Tibetian culture, and almost geography is similar to Tibet.

The 4x4 jeep adventure journey started from Pokhara, Nepal's most chilled out city in the lap of Annapurna and Fish Tail Mountain. The safari tour to Mustang no doubt offers one of the fascinating driving tour experience into the Himalayas in short time to explore the diverse culture and topography of Upper Mustang.

This tour is done by 4x4 Drive from Pokhara to Upper Mustang and drive back same way to Jomsom and Pokhara. Finally fly back Pokhara to Kathmandu. It is fun filled and at the same time full of adventure. The ultimate destination is Lo-Manthang, the capital of Mustang region. The route entails traveling across desert like landscape, barren ridges, deep canyons, eroded cliffs and moraine valleys.

Will somebody come to pick up me at the Airport upon my arrival?
Yes, Global Holidays Adventure representative will be there to greet you outside of Terminal Hall. He will be displaying an Global Holidays Adventure name with your name on it. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Hotel.

Visa info: Entry Visa fees- at present $ 25 for 15 day, $ 40 for 30 days and $ 100 for three month visa on entry to Nepal. You can take visa after landing Nepal in Tribhuwan International Airport.

What sort of accommodation can i expect in Kathmandu and in Trip?
In Kathmandu: Here are all kind of Hotel simple hotel to 5* hotel. Its depends on your demand but normally in our trekking package we use standard rooms from 3* or 4* on BB Basis.

During the trip:
You will have teahouse/Lodges generally provide basic clean facilities with a mattress and a quit blanket. We can also offer you Global Holidays Adventure's sleeping baggage if needed ( which need to return after the trip) but it is good idea to have your own sleeping baggage always. We usually provide you single and double rooms as well as the occasional dormitory. The dining room is sownstairs around a fire. All food will be cooked to order in the little kitchen. You should not enter the kitchen unless asked to do so.

Toilet Facilities During Trekking: On, Trek common toilet facilities are available at Tea House. Now some teahouse have attached bathroom.

Shower Facilities:
You will have hot shower in all teahouses but some place there is not hot shower, we will provide you hot water in bucket for Shower.

What kind of food can i expect in trip?
Most of Teahouse cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian fare Pasta, Tuna Bakes, Noodles, Potatos, Eggs, Dalbhat, Bread, Soups, Fresh Vegetable ( variety depends on the season) and even some desserts like Apple Pies, Pancakes and some interesting attempts at Custard. You will find a lot of garlic items on the menu, eat some every day because it assists with acclimatization. In many larger villages you may find some meat on the menu. You cal always get hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot lemon as well as soft drinks. Each day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same lodge you spend the night. Lunch will be take on the way to distination.

What sort of transportation I use?

Global Holidays Adventure is all about providing you with local insights as well as adventure with that in mind where we think you will get more our of your holiday by using a different means of transport that is what we do. Using a variety of private transport is an integral part of our Himalayas travel and enhance the experience. We use private tourist vehicles for sightseeing, city tours and pick ups. Depending on the group size we use cars, minibus, van or Landcruiser. For our Mustang tour we use 4 WD Jeep.

What is the best season for this trip?

The best season for this trek is October to mid December and mid February to mid June.

Can I charge my camera batterries on my Trip?
These facilities will be available in most of the places in your Hotel reception by playing some service. Remember to bring your adapters!!.

Is there any communication while we are on trip?

There are telephone in some villages along the trekking routes from which you can make international calls, Some place there is also interest access which you can use by paying some charges.

Can I use credit cards in the places visit in Trekking?

In Kathmandu you can use your credit/ master card. During the trekking you need cash, you can't use your credit card.

How much additional money do I need per day?

In Kathmandu, you can allocate $ 10-15 for lunch and dinner. It's all depends on your spending habits. $. 15- 20 a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolate and few drinks in Trekking.

Do I need to tip my guide and porters? How much would that be?

This is a difficult things to tell. It's up to you from your heart by looking their work and support. Tipping is not required, but a small way to show your guides and local porters thanks for their help. The level of the tip should reflect the level of personal involvement with your guide.

Is the water Ok to drink? Do I need to bring purifying tablets/filter?

In most places bottled water is readily available. If you wish to drink normal water, you need to use purifying aid, which you will need to bring with you.

Is Global Holidays Adventure's staff insured?

Our Company insures all our trekking staff, including guide, cook, Sherpa and Porters.

What essential documents do I need to bring with me on tour?

  • Valid Passport- must be valid for up to 6 months after return from your tour, keep a seperate photocopy.
  • Travel insurance, keep a seperate photocopy which you need to give to us before you leaving for trip.
  • Cash and Traveller's Cheques, keep numbers and proof of purchase seperate.
