Day

Arrive at Paro Airport and then drive to the capital city Thimpu. (1 hour 30 minutes drive) (2320m/7656ft.)
A scenic flight to Paro Airport, in a clear weather you will be amazed to see the highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest. Global Holidays Adventure representative will receive you in the Airport terminal. From there enjoying various sight-seeing places, we drive to the capital city of Thimpu.

Day

Thimpu Sight-seeing.
After our early breakfast, we get ready for the full day sightseeing tour. We visit Memorial Chorten, Zilukha Nunnery, Takin Sanctuary, Indigenous Hospital, Textile Museum, and Heritage Museum, Traditional School of arts & crafts and Tashicho Dzong. Upon available time, you will also visit Zangdopelri temple, paper factory and other sights.

Day

Thimphu-Punakha-Wangdue.
Drive to Punakha and visit the Punakha dzong, the second oldest in bhutan built in 1637. We will also visit Chime Lhakhang. During the drive we can enjoy the scenic mountain views from the vantage points at high pass. We also visit local markets in Wangdue which is popular for wood carving products and handycrafts.

Punakha – Paro.
Today you will drive back to Thimphu and you walk around the Hontsho village where The Tibetan refugees are living then continue the drive to Paro O/N at Hotel.

Day

Paro sight-seeing.
After an early breakfast, we visit the popular Taktshang Monastery (Tiger Monastery), century old cultural icon of Bhutan. From there, we visit to Farmhouse to experience the traditional living styles of the Bhutanese people. The visit to museums and street markets of Paro are other attractions of this day.

Paro – Departure.
The trip is over; our representatives will drop you to Airport for your flight to onward destinations.

(a) There shall be no charge for CHILDREN up to the age of 5 years. However, those between the ages of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians shall be given a 50% discount on daily rates. 

(b) Full time STUDENTS below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 25% discount on daily royalty. 

Plus Visa fee US$40 and TDF US$10 per person per visit. Single room supplementary charge is US$30 per room, if the client wishes to take single rooms.

This is true that Bhutan is more expensive than Nepal and India. The government of Bhutan has imposed an all-inclusive nightly tariff structure for all tourists so Bhutan tour can appear more expensive. A regular tour operator of Bhutan from 10 years we receive comments from returning clients that they get the real value of money genuinely. Considering the tour every visitors has access to a private guide, vehicle, driver, and package includes all meals, accommodation, sightseeing, entry fees, transfers, taxes, Government Royalties and visa fees which is indeed excellent value of money as well as Bhutan is such a pleasure to visit.


No! It is not possible to get entry visa to go Bhutan unless you pre-arranged land tour itinerary with a licensed and approved tour operator and pay the appropriate nightly all inclusive government tariff. Bhutan government avoid the independent visitors to maintain its strict culture and ecological value. However you can enjoy a high degree of flexibility during the hike, visit local markets, villages and interact with locals as you wish. You can arrange your own private tour and you do not need to join with other group but it just must be pre-paid and pre-arranged.


Bhutan, like Nepal and other countries in the planet is experiencing some climate change. Summer (June to mid- September) are warm, humid and raining. Winter (December to Early march) cold and dry. Winter nights are cold but days are clear and sunny. The western valleys only average 2 snowfall per annum. August to early September is wettest period.


There are two way to reach Bhutan either from overland from India or by flight from Nepal, Indian and Thailand. Flight from Kathmandu is most amazing which offers the spectular views of Everest, Makalu, kanchanjunga and thousands of Himalayan peaks.


Our company will help you for visa procedures. We must submit the vvisa application to the Bhutan government at least 1 week before you go. Here you will get paper visa and once you arrive at Paro get actual stamped in your passport.


October to December is the ideal time to visit Bhutan as the weather is clear and fresh with sunny skies. January and February is clod after then march to May is the climate remains dry and pleasant and end of the spring rhododendron bloom spectacularly and flooding the hills with varieties of colors. May to june is little hot and high humidity, from June from September the monsoon rain covers the mountains.


Most visitors will have No problems of altitude in Bhutan. Our cultural tour itineraries does not reach higher than 3500 meters from sea level. Of course if you are doing some trekking in Bhutan then you have to aware from altitude.


Pack list is depends on the season of travel in Bhutan. Except for summer warm clothing like down jackets, and sweaters are recommended and for summer cottons and lightweight woolens clothes are better.
