Annapurna base camp trek, one of the most trekked routes of the Annapurna region, is often considered as the trekker’s paradise as it offers magnificent mountain experience with rather easy accessibility. Global Holiday Adventure offers ABC-10 days package for the trekkers with limited time schedule but utmost desire to visit the foot of Annapurna (8091m). The trail follows Phedi-Dhampus-MBC-ABC trail and returns via same route.

The Short Trek to Annapurna entails the spectacular view of Annapurna Range including Dhaulgiri (8196m), Nilgiri, Tilicho, Manaslu and many other snowcapped giants. Taking our strides along the paddy fields, astonishing rivers-waterfalls and rhododendron blossomed forest, the view of sacred Machhapuchre (6890m) is overwhelming throughout the journey.

Another feature of the short Annapurna Trek is the variety of cultural experiences as the region is inhabited by the diverse ethnic communities. The majority of Hindus in the lower hills and plains to the Buddhists in the high mountains, every community has their distinct types of lifestyles, attire and culture.

The trekking starts from Phedi and moves through Jhini Danda. Walking via Chhumrung, we first reach the Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC). After spending a chilling night at MBC, and a walk from there takes us to the mostly snow covered ABC. On our return we follow the same route. Jhini Danda is famous for natural Hot spring water. A dip in the hot water is a good way to overcome the trekking exhaustion. Moreover, it is believed that the water has healing capacity. Finally we return to Pokhara, and from there to Kathmandu.

This itinerary for Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek is designed for constrained time-wise trekkers. However if you want to visit in a relaxing Manner with Ghorepani Poonhill then Annapurna Base Camp trekking - 15 days would be more appropriate.
