Lukla flight is rerouted to Manthali Airport from 1st April to 30th July 2019

All flights to / from Lukla are being rerouted to Manthali Airport, Ramechhap due to the runway maintenance in Tribhutan International airport Kathmandu from April 1, 2019 to July 30 2019. All the domestic airlines who operate Lukla flight have already circulated for statement that they are going to make flight from Manthali Airport, Ramechhap.
Your flight date and time will remain same as per the previous issued tickets. However this will require you to Kathmandu – Ramechep – Kathmandu by road transport.
What we are doing?
For our valuable guest who are going to Everest base camp trekking or other trekking start from Lukla during this dates we will take you directly to Manthali airport by private vehicle around 4-5 hours ahead as per the flight schedule. So you will catch your flight easily without having stay overnight at Ramechep. This is easy way to remove the hassle of finding accommodation in Ramechep.
What happen if the flight is canceled?
One of our staff will stay in Ramechhep and arrange tent accommodation in the area as a backup. In case your flight is cancelled due to any reason then you can use our tent accommodation with mattress and sleeping bags. During the time you will provided local foods which are available in this areas.
The flight cost you already paid to Kathmandu Lukla is now includes manthali –Lukla – Manthali flight and land transportation from Kathmandu to Manthali and Manthali to Kathmandu. Also emergency tent accommodation if needed in Ramechhep due to flight cancelled.
About Ramechhep Manthali airport !
Manthali domestic airport is located at the elevation of 1,555 feet (474 m) and approx. 132 Kms east of Kathmandu. Manthali is the capital of Ramechhap district which takes 4-5 road drive from Kathmandu. Manthali is a small town that doesn’t have many visitors so, there are very limited accommodation facilities and service are not stander like Kathmandu and other parts.
