2. Annapurna Base Camp Trek

3. Annapurna Circuit Trek

4. Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world, with a height of 8163m located at Midwestern part of Nepal. The area is known as the Manaslu region. Other major peaks in the region are Himalchuli (7893m), Ngadichuli (7871m), Shringi (7178m) and various other snow-covered giants. The area is rich in various deep forest and wildlife. Red pandas, snow leopards, black bears, musk deer, blue sheep, and Himalayan tagr and the  rhododendron forests. The hills are mainly composed of Gurung and Magar and have a legacy of service in the British Gorkha army. The high mountains are inhabited by the Tibetan Buddhist community. The trails are rocky but not too steep. The highest point is Larkya La pass (5135m) which is one of the longest passes in the Himalaya of Nepal. From the top of Larkya La offers stunning panoramic views of Manaslu, Himalchuli and many others. The hike on terrains requires normal attention and caution.

5. Langtang Valley Trek

6. Upper Dolpo Trek

Welcome to pristine unexplored region in far western side of remote Nepal. The place is remote and don’t have any tourism infrastructure yet very beautiful. This isolated trek takes you to some of the oldest monasteries in country reflecting Tibetan Buddhist Culture. One can also witness hunt of Yarchagumba (caterpillar fungus with some high medicinal value) in season of spring.

8. Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek

Looking for challenging treks? Well welcome to this part of Himalayas where challenging trek around the mountain Dhaulagiri the seventh highest Peak on the north west of Pokhara in Western Nepal. This demanding outdoor adventure takes walk on snow, glacier in an area around Italian Basecamp. During this trek you come across community like Gurung, Magar and Chhetri.

Walking around these trail you will come across few shops and tea houses and see the lifestyle of people living and cultivated lands in those area. Starting from Beni, only for first few day you will see such things whereas later when we ascend from Doban, mountains are the only things that can be seen. While ascending from Doban you come across two high pass of this trail Dhampus (5250m) and French pass (5360m). You then pass through Thapa pass to Yak Kharka and end your trek at beautiful village of Marpha.

As stated above this is a challenging trek both mentally and physically, rugged trail with bone chilling camping experience and passing through windy high passes and some deepest gorge of Kaligandagi River. This remote trans-Himalayan mountain area borders Tibet and has a distinct Tibetan feel to it, both in its people and culture and in its arid landscape of high cliffs and rocks of unusual formations and color. The trek visits Kagbeni, the gateway to Upper Mustang, then on through a stark landscape in the rain shadow of the Dhaulagiri massif to Lo-Manthang, the seat of past Kings of the Kingdom of Lo mangthang. Explore caves, rock paintings, monasteries, and gompa and learn something about the culture of this area. A few hours walks from Lo Manthang is Gyakar with its famous Gompa.

However these days most of the areas in the forbidden kingdom is accessible by road and trekkers lately have to walk through many jeep trails as it is easy but roads are dusty. You won’t get the amazing trekking experience as many vehicle passing will cover you on dust. Lastly we recommend to have a jeep tour in Mustang however if you want to hike in pristine nature we recommend you some of the trails less taken by hiker which has to offer a lot.

Require permits:

  • Restricted area permit that cost you around $500.
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP)

Restricted area permit usually lasts for 10 days and due to any purpose if the stay is extended each day will cost you $50.

Difficulty Level

This is a trekking as you will be following jeep trails in many places. There is no requirement of prior trekking experience. It’s recommended to carry some personal knee support and general cardio is recommended.
