Also Everest base Camp is the ultimate adventure destination for adventure Lovers. There are many high altitude trekking route in Nepal where you have stay in a camp and eat local foods. But if you are trekking in Everest base camp or any other routes in Everest, now you have good choice of foods available in tea houses.
When staying at guesthouses, we have an early breakfast at morning around 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Then we resume our trek around 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Usually your breakfast start with a cup of tea or coffee which helps you to wake up and make fresh. Normally Oatmeal boiled, French toast with jam, Honey or butter, Tibetan breads, build eggs, omelets, chapatti, porridge, pancakes, muesli and other common breakfast items are available in most of the tea houses. Usually in high altitude a generous portion of oatmeal, fried eggs, porridge and Tibetan bread are good for health and maintains a higher level of glucose in your bloodstream.
While trekking your guide knows where to make a Lunch. Our guides are popular with the routes and they knows the quality lodge for Lunch. They are always aware about the foods in high altitude.
You will have various choice of foods for your Lunch. Normally you can start from soups, steaks, sandwiches, Momo, macaroni dishes, pizzas and etc. The tea houses they will provides food menu where you can choice and give the order to your guide. During the Lunch we suggest take light foods which make you easy for walking. In high altitude we recommended garlic soup which is a natural means of preventing altitude sickness as well Nepali National food Dal Bhat. Dal Bhat in mountain is very nourishing and also a light and healthily trekking foods.
Dinner is usually eaten where you will stay overnight after a full day walking. Depending on the route normally you reach 16:00 to 17:pm in your tea house. You will always get new altitude which is higher than before. So, it is recommended drinks a lot of water. The foods which are available in Lunch can also available dinner. So, you can choose your foods as depending on your mood like Momo, Dal Bhat, Pizza or etc.
