This Everest Base Camp (EBC) budget trek package has low costing in comparison to premium package but the quality of service remains the same. In this EBC budget trek package, we will provide you private vehicle for airport pick up and drop, flight to Lukla, an experienced licensed guide and accommodation service. All meals during the whole trek are excluded from the cost. Porters are also available on demands but have to pay certain amount by the trekkers him/herself.

Day

Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding.(2,610 m)- 45 Minutes flight and 3 hours walking.
A private vehicle according to your group size will transfer you to Tribhuwan International Airport from the hotel. From there, you will fly Lukla. The flight duration is around 40 minutes. After landing on Tenzing-Hilary Airport, you will get off and start your trek of the day to Phakding. Phakding is about 4 hours of normal walk from Lukla. Trails along Dudh Koshi River will take you all the way to Phakding passing various beautiful Sherpa village and dense forest of rhododendron. Reaching Phakding, rooms will be assigned to you. Overnight at the hotel.

Day

Trek to Namche Bazar. (3,440 m)- 5 to 6 hours walking.
Early morning after having your breakfast, you will check out from the hotel. You will start the journey of the day to Namche Bazar. You will walk through the trails along Dudh Koshi River and cross various suspension bridges. You will get the first glimpse of world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest, from the trail this day.
After reaching Namche Bazar, rooms will be assigned to you.

Acclimatization Day.
Trekkers need to acclimatize at different places on high altitude treks to maintain their body temperature with the surrounding temperature. Namche Bazar is the gateway to Everest and almost every trekker who trek in Everest Region stay at Namche Bazar to acclimatize a day and ascend further the next day.

Namche Bazar is the gateway of Everest. It is the main trade center of Khumbu Region. This is the last stop of the trek where ATM center, banking institution, café, restaurant, etc. are available. You can enjoy good food and relax on your acclimatization day. You will hike up to Hotel Everest View, Syangboche to have a beautiful summit view of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse along with other Everest ranges. You will meet various climbers and trekkers at Namche Bazar.

Day

Trek to Tengboche. (3,860 m)- 5 hours walking.
After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and then climb the hill of Namche Bazar. Just after crossing the Namche hill, you will see the beautiful Ama Dablam standing firmly along with Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. Tengboche is around 5 hours from Namche Bazar. The trail is not so wide and is narrow up to Tengboche. Passing various dense forests, you will reach Tengboche. The largest monastery of Khumbu region, Tengboche monastery, is located at Tengboche.

 Day 5: Trek to Dingboche. (4,410 m)- 5 hours walking.
This day, you will descend down through the dense forest to cross the Imja Khola, then you will pass Pangboche village (3,990 m.). The trail is not steep and the walk will be interesting this day. You will be admired by the beautiful view of Ama Dablam along with Everest ranges throughout the trail. It will take total of around 5 hours to reach Dingboche.

Day



 2nd acclimatization day.
This will be the 2nd acclimatization day at Dingboche to maintain the temperature of your body and the environment. This day, you will hike up to Nagarjuna hill (5,100 m.). Nagarjuna is a hill located on the flank of Chukhung valley. It will take around 5 hours to ascend the top of the hill. The trail is steep and challenging in most of the part. From the top, beautiful view of Lobuche East (6,119 m.), Lobuche West (6,145 m.), Taboche Peak (6,495 m), Thamserku (6,623 m), Kangtega (6,782 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m.) and many more peaks can be seen. On a clear day, even the world’s 5th highest peak, Mt. Makalu, can also be seen. Then, you will descend down, return to Dingboche and relax for the remaining part of the day.

Day

Trek to Lobuche. (4,940 m) – 5 hours walking.
After 2nd acclimatization day at Dingboche, you will check out from the hotel. You will trek up to Dughla passing Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche (4,300 m). Trekkers Aid Post offer treatment and consultation to trekkers. This is supported by Himalayan Rescue Association and staffed by western volunteer’s doctor. You will ascend up from Dughla valley and then come out of the valley. Then, you will descend to the yak pastures of Lobuche which lies at an altitude of 4,940 m.

Day



Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m), Back to Gorakshep (5,165 m)- 6 to 7 hours walking.
After early breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and continue your journey. This is the day you will reach Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep. You will have a glimpse of Khumbu glacier on this day. After walking for couple of hours, you will reach Gorakshep. Then, you will continue your walk to Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep. You will not gain much altitude from Gorakshep while continuing to Everest Base Camp but there are lots of ups and downs on the trail. After walking for around 3 hours, you will reach Everest Base Camp where you will stay some time and enjoy the view of Khumbu glacier and icefall. Then, you will retrace your trail up to Gorakshep where you will spend the overnight.

Day

Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m), Trek back to Pheriche (4,370 m) – 6 to 7 hours.
This day will start with a hike to Kala Patthar. Kala Patthar is the best view point from where the summit view of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse can be enjoyed along with various other mountain peaks of Everest region. Kala Patthar is hiked by every trekker who trek Everest Base Camp because the summit is not visible from the base camp so trekkers hike here to enjoy the summit view. Kala Patthar is at an elevation of 5,545 m.
Then, you will descend from Kala Patthar and retrace the trail up to Pheriche. The total trek duration is around 7 hours. After reaching Pheriche, rooms will be assigned to you.

Day

Trek back to Namche Bazar. (3,440 m) – 6 to 7 hours walking.
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will check out from the hotel and retrace the trail up to Namche Bazar. It will take around 6-7 hours to reach Namche Bazar passing various dense rhododendron forest and beautiful Sherpa village.

Day

Trek back to Lukla. (2,610 m) – 6 hours walking.
This will be last day of the trek. After having breakfast at the hotel, you will check out from the hotel of Namche and retrace the trail up to Lukla. It is around 4 hours trek along the Dudh Koshi River’s trail.
After reaching Lukla, you will check in to the hotel.

Day

Fly Kathmandu from Lukla.
Early morning, after having breakfast you will check out from the hotel and head towards Tenzing-Hilary Airport. You will take your flight to Kathmandu from Lukla Airport. After landing on Tribhuwan International Airport, our office representative will be waiting for you at the domestic terminal. A private vehicle will be send at the airport. The vehicle will drop you to your hotel.
