Details for Mount Everest Expedition
After arrival at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu, the group will meet up the staff of Global Holidays Adventure for introduction and briefing about south col everest expedition details. The Next day will be the sightseeing day of Kathmandu valley. You will visit UNESCO world site Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu durbar square. The tour provides the background of cultural and historical site of Kathmandu valley. The next couple of days are for checking equipment, final preparations and packing.
30 Minutes flight by aircraft you will reach Lukla, the get way of Everest Region. 2 days walking you will reach Namche Bazar and spend 2 nights for acclimatization. You will then start your trek towards Island Peak through Thame, Khumjung, Tengboche, Dingboche and Chhukung. After the summit of Island Peak, you will then head towards Everest Base Camp. After spending a night at Gorakshep, you will climb up the Kalapathar for the best view of Everest, Lhotse and the other surrounding peaks. You will trek in to Everest Base Camp the same day where you will meet your other staffs.
There will be puja ceremony at the Everest base Camp to commence the Everest expedition. All of the climbing equipment andmt everest south col will be worshipped with present of Lama (monk) and burning junipers. This is prayer for the permission of mount goddess for climbing Everest as well successfulness of Everest Expedition. The first part of your climb on Everest will just be the process of acclimatization. You will gradually start climbing to the high camps. Once you climb up to around 7500 m, you will come down to the lower Khumbu valley into the thick air for resting. You will again return back to Everest base camp and start the second part of the climb which will be the attempt to the summit of mt everest south col. After the summit, you will return to Kathmandu by same flight from Lukla.
