Everest Overnight Experience With Helicopter Tour

Accomodation: Hotel Everest View.

Transport: Helicopter and Private Vehicle.

6:00 to 6:30 am: A private vehicle depending upon group size, will pick you up from hotel and takes you to domestic terminal at Kathmandu.

6:30 to 6:45 am: Security check, Boarding and some other airport related activity.

6:45 to 7:30 am: We will reach Lukla which is about 45 minute flight time. This flight offers the views of Rolwaling Himalayas Ranges, Gaurishankar, Langtang Range and many other Himalayan ranges. You will see changes in landscape while flying over various forest, fields and human settlements.

7:00 to 7:45 am: Lukla stop for refueling. This will take about 15 minutes.

7:45 to 8:00 am: We will fly towards Kalapatthar and reach there around
8:00 am. The flight will take somewhere around 15 minutes.

8:00 to 8:15 am Fly over Everest base camp, Khumbu Ice fall, Kalapattar: Flying over the top of the world offers magnificent summit view of Everest, Nuptse, Lotshe, Pumori, Chyangste and many others. 

8:15 to 8:30 am: Fly to Everest view hotel: It takes 15 minute approximately in order to reach Hotel Everest View. This is one of the most renowned hotel operating in higher altitude. Hidden on the ridge overlooking spectacular mountain views is remarkable establishment that blends perfectly with grace on its remarkable surroundings. Known for its delicious cuisine, view of Everest & surrounding mountains and luxury stays in Himalayas.

9:00 to 10:00 am Resting time: You can chill or relax around the place. Taking selfies, pictures of self and mountains and spending some time in mountain can be done. You will enjoy your breakfast along with magnificent views of surrounding mountians and sunshine.

10:00 am to 3:00: pm Hike, either Namche Bazzar or Khumjung village You will meet one of our local Sherpa guide and choose one of the destination for hiking.

Namche Bazzar

Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu, attracting Himalayan and lowland merchants. On the hike, hikers capture the first glimpses of Everest and neighboring peaks like Lhotse Peak (8414m) and Ama Dablam (6856m). On arrival at Khumjung (3780m), you could visit the Hillary School before stopping for lunch at one of the tea houses. Visit the local museum where you can see traditional costume of Sherpa people. Namche also offers fancy cafes and bakery where one could enjoy the bakery delights, coffee and many others things to shop from handicraft to souvenirs.  This day can be physically demanding at times and you should be prepared as the weather is very unpredictable.

It will take around 1:30 hour to descend Namche Bazar. It is not a difficult trail. Reaching Namche Bazar, you will explore around Namche Bazar and enjoy the ambience of the place. You can interact with the local Sherpa people and have a look at their lifestyle. You can also explore nearby Gumba and chortens to know about their old traditions and culture. Before returning, you will have lunch at Namche Bazar.

Khumjung

Khumjung is a village of Khumbu region, Solukhumbu district, situated at an altitude of 3,790 m. The village lies just below Mt. Khumbila. This village also lies in Sagarmatha National Park, UNESCO world’s heritage site. Khumjung is a beautiful settlement of Sherpa people. There are some chortens and monasteries in this village. There is a purported Yeti scalp in a monastery in Khumjung village. There are less facilities and services in comparison to Namche Bazar but common communication service like internet, mobile and landline are available in this village.

It will take around one and half hour to reach Khumjung from Hotel Everest View. You can walk slowly in a normal pace; the trail is not so difficult. You can get good chance to look at the lifestyle of Sherpa people, their culture and tradition in Khumjung village. You will explore around monasteries, chortens and visit local schools of Khumjung village.

3:00 pm- on wards: Hotel Everest View; relax, dinner and overnight.

After finishing your hike and gathering glimpse of Everest region, you will return back to Hotel Everest View. Remaining part of the day is free to relax and explore and spend some time with yourself and loved ones. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. In peak season, similar category of hotel will be assigned if the booking is full.

After getting amazed by one of the best sunrise view of your life you will get ready for breakfast.

7:00 to 8:00 Breakfast Time: You will have breakfast and spend some time in lap of mountain while enjoying hot beverage.

8:00 to 8:45 am Flight to Lukla: Enjoying the views from the flight we will stop at Lukla for refueling.

8:45 to 9:00 am: Refueling time

9:00 to 9:45 am Back to Kathmandu: We get back to Kathmandu with similar view and changing landscape reflecting day 1 of tour. Taking off from Lukla don’t forget to give a last look to the Himalayas and say something that you want.

9:45am to 10:00 am Back to your Hotel: A private vehicle will take you to hotel at Kathmandu. You can spend rest of the day doing whatever you want. Either it’s shopping of souvenir, strolling around the streets of Kathmandu or by the bar with few beers, heritage sightseeing or anything you are comfortable with.
