Join our Mustang Royal Enfield venture to celebrate the exclusive traditional Tibetan Tiji Festival which is going to commence from 27th May and last upto 29th May 2022. An adventure Motorbike journey to the auspicious Tiji Festival in Lo-manthang introduces you to the experience of ancient Tibetan Festival through traditional mask dance performances to spread world peace. While taking the journey to Upper Mustang motorbike tour you will ride through the dry terrains, yak Caravans, Buddhist Monasteries, ancient caves, the Tibetan influenced culture and picturesque landscape.  There are several high passes with the majestic views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Bhirkuti, Annapurna mountains which will never leave your sight. The ancient red, brown and silver-gray caves in the cliffs wetness the pioneers beauty of the ancient Kingdom.

Every year according to the Tibetan calendar the capital of Lo-manthang host the annual 3 days Tiji festival in the courtyards of Royal place with the co-operation of locals and Monks of Lo-manthang. The traditional mask dance restores the mythological flickers of how the recreation of Buddha, Dorjee Sonam, got victory over the devil who bought destruction to Mustang.

(The trip demands a good driving experience. You will enjoy a 500 cc Royal enfield or 411 CC Royal Enfield Himalayan as your ride. Luggage will be carried by a supported jeep with one technician for emergency services.)

We have 411 CC Royal Enfield Himalayan motorbikes which are very powerful and comfortable for this off road ride in Himalaya. Please write us which bike is comfortable for you. We can also provide other brands of motorbikes if your require brands of motorbikes are available in Nepal.

Riding your own motorbike in Upper Mustang:
Riding your own motorbike in Upper Mustang is also possible. We need proper documents of your motorbikes which you are bringing for Mustang tour.

Our Global Holidays Adventure's airport representative meets you and transfers you to hotel by the private Vehicle. Our tour guide will explain about your program in evening time.

12th May 2023: Bike Ride to Pokhara - 6 / 7 hours.
Day highlights: Driving along the prithivi high way you will follow the Trishuli river and after arrive at Pokhara visit Lakeside.

13th May 2023: Bike Ride Pokhara to Beni to Kalopani (2600m).
Bike ride hours: 5/6 hours
Day highlights: Drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot to see the Majestic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapurche and goes through the winding roads of the high Hills following Kaligandaki River. There are small markets and villages on the way. From Beni we start our journey in gravel raod pasess several waterfalls and local villages and reach at Kalopani.

14th May 2023: Bike Ride from Kalopani to Muktinath to Kagbeni (2900m).
Bike ride hours: 5/6 hours
Day highlights: Visit Jomsom local market, Kalagandaki gorge (World deepest gorge), Kaligandaki river, holy temple complex of Muktinath and 108 taps dedicated to lord Vishnun, Jal Devi where you can see the fire lighting itself (Natural gas), Buddhist monastery in Jharkot, Incredible views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Tukuche Peak and local activities.

15th May 2023: Official formalities of special permit we ride to Lo-manthang.
Bike ride hours: 6 hours
Day highlights: Visit Kagbeni Monastery and Buddhist School, Crossing Kaligandaki, ancient Buddhist Stupas, Crossing Kaligandaki, Chuksung Village, Chella Village, Samar Village, Syangboche, Bhina, Ghiling, Ghami village, Visit ancient Charang Monastery, Beautiful Landscape, Local Farmer houses with Yak and houses caravan, Tibetan culture and local activities.

16th May 2023: First day TIJI Festival. (FESTIVAL START)
Early morning, you will head towards the Namgyal monastery of Lo-manthang. You will explore the monastery and have a walk around it. You will return to the hotel and have some lunch. Then, you will go to the king’s palace to celebrate TIJI festival. You will witness the rituals and dancing of the Tibetan monks from different part of the world. After TIJI festival, return to the hotel.

17th May 2023: Celebrate second day TIJI Festival.

The festival will start usually from 12pm so in the morning, we will ride towards Chhoser village. It is a short drive of 1 hour from Lomanthang. If you are lucky, you will have a glimpse of Blue sheep and other wildlife too. At Chhoser, you will explore sky cave and Buddhist school of the village. After exploring Chhoser, you will return to Lomanthang for the TIJI celebration. After TIJI, you will return to the hotel.

18th May 2023: Third day TIJI Festival. (FESTIVAL END).

This is the last and final day of TIJI festival. You will explore the monasteries and Buddhist school of Lomanthang. You will have a good sightseeing around the village. After 12 pm, join the local to celebrate the final day of TIJI. Interact with the local and observe the rituals and dance. After celebration, return to hotel.

19th May 2023: Ride back to Jomsom. (Drive 6/7 hrs / around 70 kms).
You will drive back to Jomsom retracing the trail. You will visit Nepal’s oldest Buddhist monastery of Ghar Gumpa, pass the same beautiful village of Tsarang, Ghami, Ghiling, Samar and reach Kagbeni. Special permit check out at Kagbeni the, we will ride back to Jomsom. After reaching Jomsom, rooms will be assigned. You can explore the market area of Jomsom until dinner.

20th May2023: Ride back to Pokhara – 160 KM..
Bike ride hours: 7 hours
After early breakfast at hotel you will continuously drive to Pokhara.

22nd May 2023: Full day Kathmandu sightseeing by private vehicle and PCR test.
After breakfast sightseeing around Kathmandu valley visit UNESCO world heritage sites by private vehicle with a prefessional english speaking guide. Specially visit Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupathinath and Boudhanath Stupa. During the day we will also collect PCR swap and collect the report for your international flight.

23rd 2023: Final Departure to your onward destination.

Upper Mustang Motorbike tour is designed for those adventure lovers who are physically fit and have good skill for Motorbike riding. The road after Beni Bazar is completely off road and you will reach 4000 meters altitude during the trip. So you should have good physical condition and riding skill for this adventure.

We have 411 CC Royal Enfield Himalayan or 500 CC Royal Enfield classic motorbike which are very powerful and comfortable for long drive. Please write us which bike is comfortable for you. We can also provide other brands of motorbikes if your require brands of motorbikes are available in Nepal. Now this year, we have added 15 Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 CC bikes for our adventure.

Of Course, without a license you are not a real rider. Before arrive in Nepal we Need your possport copy and license copy then we will make local permits for your riding. Which allow you to drive in Mustang.

You don’t need any experiences of Himalayan ride but make sure that you are a good motorbike rider and can drive for a long way in Himalayan road.

Yes, we provide one private supporting Van/ Truck during your motorbike tour in Mustang. Your all luggage and spare parts of motorbike will carry by our supporting Van.

1 Road Captain/Chief Technician and 1 mechanic will be provided during the whole trip. Also there will be an experienced English speaking guide for sightseeing of places and monasteries

Mustang climate is favorable to travel from March to November. June July is mostly raining season in Nepal but Mustang never get raining because this is the rain shadow part of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan region. December, January and February is winter season where Mustang gets snowfall and temperature is very low.

You can get the visa at Tribhuwan International Airport after landing, furthermore it will be easier if you fill up the visa form by online ( before taking the flight to Nepal. Entry Visa fees- at present is $ 25 for 15 day, $ 40 for 30 days and $ 100 for three month visa on entry to Nepal.
You should bring following essential documents in the trip:

  • Valid Passport: must be valid for up to 6 months.
  • Travel insurance: you need to provide a copy of insurance paper to Global Holidays Adventure before you start the trek.
  • Flight Tickets.
  • Emergency contact numbers for T/C's bank, insurance, family contacts.

Definitely! Global Holidays Adventure Pvt. Ltd provides airport pick up facilities for those customers who have booked private tour for any of our packages. We don't charge any money for the service.

All types of Hotels from a budget to Luxurious including five star services are available in Kathmandu. Normally, Global Holidays Adventure offers three hotel services in our outline itinerary. We can also accommodate according to your choice.

During the trip: You will have teahouse/Lodges generally provide basic clean facilities with a mattress and a quit blanket. We can also offer Global Holidays Adventure's sleeping baggage if needed (which needs to be returned after the trip) but it’s always better to have a personal sleeping bag. We usually provide you single and double rooms. During the peak season it is quite difficult to manage single room therefore double rooms are preferred in our outline itinerary.

Normally there are hot water shower services in various teahouses and lodges. In the absence of such facility, the teahouse/lodges will provide you hot water bucket. The payment for the shower has to be made by yourself and the cost varies with the places.

Most of Teahouse cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian fare Pasta, Tuna Bakes, Noodles, Potatoes, Eggs, Dal-bhat, Bread, Soups, Fresh Vegetable ( variety depends on the season) and even some desserts like Apple Pies, Pancakes and some interesting attempts at Custard. You will find a lot of garlic items on the menu, eat some every day because it assists with acclimatization. In many larger villages you may find some meat on the menu. You can always get hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot lemon as well as soft drinks. Each day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same lodge you spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to destination.

Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. Generally, nights are chillingly cold, whereas, the days are warmer. Winter (January and February) will be a bit colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. There will be a bit of snow during the month of January, February and December. The temperature inside the teahouses/lodges are fairly maintained. You can always sit beside a fire to keep yourself warmer. The temperature could be as high as 20 degree c to 15 degree c low during the day time.

Yes, most of the places have internet access now in Upper Mustang. In Lo-mantnag there is Everest link Wi-Fi where you can buy recharge card for internet. Also mobile data is work during the whole trip.

ATM and credit card facilities can be used in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Jomsom. Above that, you need cash payments for various service you need.

In Kathmandu, you can allocate $ 10-15 for lunch and dinner. It all depends on your spending habits. $. 15- 20 a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolate and few drinks in bike tour.

In most places bottled water is readily available. If you wish to drink normal water, you need to use purifying aid, better if you have some for yourself.

In case you suffer from altitude sickness or any other problems, we will offer you the doctor’s prescribed medicines according to the type of problem facing you. We will descend you and incase of extreme cases, you will get rescued by the helicopter.

In case of any casualties, travel insurance will be a boon to recover the incurred expenses. In case of helicopter rescue, the helicopter charge, which is little expensive, can also be recovered by your insurance. So it a good act to check you insurance validity and policy, whether it recovers the rescue charges or not.

Yes, all the staffs of Global Holidays Adventure including guides and porters are insured to recover any kinds of casualties.
