Throughout the year all seasons are best time to visit Mustang. Although to see the better views and explore around the towns locally between March to May and September to November are best months for Mustang. Due to rain shadow area of Himalayas, Mustang is also a great place to visit during the monsoon season.

Day

Drive to Kalopani by jeep – 123 KM (6 Hours)

After breakfast at Hotel, we will pick up and start your journey to Mustang. First we drive to Sarangkot to see the majestic view of mountain then west to the town of Beni with the paved road. After Beni you will drive both off road and paved road to Kalopani. On the way you will stop for a lunch and explore Rupche water fall which is interesting during the journey.

Day

Drive to Muktinath (3800 M Elevation) and stay Overnight at Kagbeni (2800 M Elevation )– 63 KM (5 Hours).

Early morning after breakfast you will drive to Marpha Village. You will explore the apple garden and local farming of Marpha. Then you drive to Muktinath via Jomsom. You will explore Muktinath Temple and local areas then drive back to Kagbeni for Overnight.

Visit Muktinath, one of the highest situated temple and a holy sacred place for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. It is at an elevation of 3,800 m.

Day

Drive to Lo-manthang. 45 Km (5/6 Hours).

At Kagbeni, we will check our special permit and then explore the monasteries and Buddhist school of Kagbeni. After that, we will head towards Lo-manthang. You will cross the Kali Gandaki River, pass Chuksang, Chella, Samar, Syangboche, Bhina, Ghiling, Ghami, Tsrang Village and then reach Lo-manthang. You will stop your jeep in several places to see the beautiful landscape of Mustang and make the amazing pictures for your memories.

Day Highlights

Explore the monasteries, Gumba and Buddhist school of Kagbeni village.
Witness the Tibetan plateaus and desert like landscape.
Witness the Mani walls on the way.

Day

Exploration Day in Lo-Manthang and Chhosar.

Today after breakfast you will explore the major 3 monasteries of Lo-manthang and after lunch you will drive to caves of Chhoser and explore SHIJA JHONG cave of Mustang dating back to over 3,000 years have been subject of excavation for archaeologists from around the world. There are other several caves near Chhoser have been used for burial, meditation and also for living. Also till now SKY BURIAL is used in Upper Mustang which is in Chhoser and nearby villages. After finished the sightseeing of local areas you will drive back to guesthouse by jeep.

Day highlights

Explore the 3 Major monasteries of Lomanthang, Thupchen Monastery, Chode Gompa and Jampa Monastery as well a Buddhist Museum.

Drive back to Jomsom (2743 m . Elevation) – approx. 55 Km (6 Hours)

Highlights: Today you will drive all the way to Jomsom Crossing several local village, Kaligandaki river, Buddhist stupas and monasteries on the way. Evening you will have time to explore local market of Jomsom. If you come early to Jomsom we will drive until Kalopani for Overnight stay.

Drive back to Pokhara – 158 KM (7 Hours).

You will drive all the way down to Beni and continuous drive to Pokhara and drop you to your hotel.
