Overview

Kailash Manasarovar Tour is a very popular tour for different types of pilgrims and visitors. The site is gratifyingly stunning, along with its religious significance. The remoteness of the territory of Tibet is adorned with a dominant view of Mt. Kailash and turquoise Manasarovar Lake. To fulfill your spiritual quest, Global Holidays Adventure offers a high quality service. You will also witness the wonders of the ancient holy city of Lhasa - the holy land renowned for ancient religion, beautiful architecture, gilded temples, intricately decorated monasteries and several other impressive arts and artefacts. You will be flying to Lhasa from where you will be driving to Manasarovar and returning via the same route.

Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar Lakes are holy destinations for four different religions - Hindus, Jain, Buddhist and Bon. It is, for Hindus, the place where Lord Shiva stays with his wife Parvati for ever. On the pilgrimage tour to Manasarovar it is claimed that all sins are cleansed. In Jainism, Lake Manasarovar is identified with Rishabha, the first Tirthankara.

If you're visiting Mount Kailash during the month of May, this will give you the opportunity to attend Saga Dawa Buddhist Festival while most of the other trips are scheduled to arrive at Mt. Kailash during the full moon time to give all visitors a rare experience.

TREK, SHIVASTHAL - GAURIKUNDA (5620 m) - ZUTULPHUK.

Today is the toughest, longest and the most exciting day of this spiritual journey. We have to walk for at least 8 to 9 hours to reach our destination, Zutulphuk. Right from Deraphuk, the trail rapidly goes up to Shivasthal taking snaky zigzag shape. Shivasthal is the place where Tibetans offer things (foods, clothes, alcohol etc.) to deceased souls of their family members/friends/relatives. It is believed that if things are offered here, dead souls will receive them in heaven. Also, the trail to inner Parikram route forks from here.

From Shivasthal, the trail is mild ascend till we reach Dolma pass (5620 m.). We advise all our Yatri’s (clients) not to spend more than 15 – 20 minutes in Drolma pass for any rituals or Pooja. From Dolma pass, we trek a few steps down to reach Gaurikunda. The trail passes by this auspicious lake. From this point on, the path rapidly descends till we reach the valley floor.

The last leg of the journey follows along the River Bank till we reach Zutulphuk. Zhutulphuk has a few small houses where there is no choice of Guesthouse.

- Overnight Norpel Guesthouse or Monastery guesthouse (Mud house) – dormitory.

- Dhiraphuk to Zutulphuk- 22 km | 8 to 9 hrs.

- Elevation of Dhiraphuk- 4720 m. | 15482 ft.

Day

END TREK, THEN DRIVE TO OLD DONGBA.

After breakfast, we start trekking to the pick-up point, near Darchen. The entire trail is easy & flat, so you will complete this journey within 3 to 4 hours. All group members will be assembled in pick point then we start our journey to Dongba on Bus via Darchen.
