The Khopra Danda also known as Khopra ridge trek is a best alternative to the most popular and crowded Ghorepani Poonhill trekking. The most awesomely beautiful pure untouched nature and newly opened routes takes you to the higher and great view point of Annapurna Himalaya.

Khopra Danda Trek Route

 If you are looking for a perfect short week-long trekking in Nepal, a little off-the-beaten-path with panoramic views of granitic Himalayas, walking inside the lush forest, this trek is the choice. Khopra Danda trek is suitable for all trekkers from beginners to experts. Khopra Ridge trek can be done as combined with an adventure hike to Khayar Lake (4600 m).

The Khopra Danda trek starts from Nayapul after 1 hours drive from Pokhara and follow the same trail to Ghorepani and passess through the lush pine, Oak, rhododendron and bamboo forest with gorgeous vistas of high snowcapped peaks, you will explore the beautiful Magar, Gurung, Kami, Damai, Tamang and Brahmin villages with beautiful terrace farming lands. It is also a best opportunity to know the real Nepali culture lifestyles. Because of new trail very less people they go trekking in this route so the route is vary quit and peace. From the view pont high mountain views are just awesome 180 degree from Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Manaslu (8163 m), Fishtail (6993 m), Nilgiri (6839 m ) and other snowcapped peaks.

Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Morning fly to Pokhara and drive to Ghandruk by Jeep via Nayapul (Nayapul to Ghandruk is off road) and 1 hour walk to Ghandruk village.

Trek from Ghandruk to Tadopani to Dobato. 6/7 hrs walking.

Early morning hike to Muldai view point (3611 m) and trek to Sistibang.5 hours walking.

Trek from Sistibang to Kopra Danda (3660 m ) . 3/ hrs walking.

Explore day hike to Khayar lake and back to Kopra Danda. 6/7 hrs walking.

  • International air fare to/ from Nepal.
  • Entry Visa fees - at present $25 for 15 day, US$ 40 for 30 day, and US$ 100 for three month visa on entry into Nepal.
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Pokhara. 
  • Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, etc.
  • Beverages, alcoholic drinks, mineral water, boiled water during the trekking.
  • Hot shower during the trekking.
  • All food and beverages other than on the itinerary. 
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
