Langtang-Gosainkunda-Helambu trekking is an exciting trail that offers distinct and diverse natural and cultural experiences in three various region of the Langtang National Park area. The region which is popular as the home of Red Pandas, also inhabit other various wildlife and forest resources. Different pristine lakes, numerous glaciers and snow capped giants are the other features of the place. Moreover, the trek is also a good way to come closer to the rural lifestyles and culture of the Himalayan Sherpa and Tamang communities in its original form.
The walk starts from Syafrubesi within the lush forests trail moving along the river flowing through a narrow Gorge, taking us all the way to Langtang Valley. The valley lies in the lap of high snow capped giants in the north and small peaks in the south. The place devastated by the Earthquake in April 12, 2015 has never lost its natural grace. Moving a little higher, we reach Kyanjing Gompa (3740m), place named after an ancient monastery. One can visit Cheese factory with a meager walk or trek to Langshisa Kharka – Tsergo Ri to view numerous glaciers, lakes and mountains including Shishapagma (8013m), highest of the Tibetan Range.
The next destination is Gosainkunda Region. The pristine and holy Gosainkunda Lake is accompanied by various other Lakes including Bhairav Kunda, Ganesh Kunda, Surya kunda and many more. The lakes are in frozen state during winter. Gosainkunda is also popular as the pilgrimage spot for Hindus and Buddhist. According to the Hindu mythology, it was the divine power of Lord shiva that created the lake. From the lake we ascend to Lauribina Pass (4610m). The incredible walk through the snowy pass makes you feel as if you are walking above the cloud. On descend from pass you enter Helambu region. There are various beautiful villages and ancient Buddhist monasteries in the region which is vastly populated by the Tamang communities with their distinct culture and lifestyles. We can enjoy the view of various snow capped giants of the Himalayas from the Helambu region.
We make the descend walk along the lush Rhododendron forests, cultivated terrains and beautiful settlements, and finally drive back to Kathmandu.

Trek preparation & Kathmandu valley sightseeing.
After your breakfast you will be introduced to the trekking guides and helpers. And the Kathmandu sightseeing beings with visit to various UNESCO enlisted cultural Heritage sites including medieval Palaces in Kathmandu-Bhaktapur-Lalitpur Durbar squares. Other sites are Pashupatinath Temple, Baudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupa.In the evenining you will walk along the Thamel streets which is a good place to buy trekking equipment.

Today, you are driving to Sybru Bensi after breakfast, it takes 6/7 hrs. You will drive by Public bus or Toyota Land Cruiser,its depends on your group size. It’s the first night in Mountain.

Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m) 5 hours walk.
Today is the first day of trekking, the first part of the trail follows the Langtang Khola and enters into the lush rhododendron forest. Afterwards, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400meters) through Bamboo (1960meters) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. This is a good option to have to your lunch. And, at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel. En route you could see red pandas, monkeys and bears if you arer lucky enough.

Trek to Langtang Village (3307m) 5 hours walk.
The Trail follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela literally meaning the Horse Stable. After this the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the sights of grazing Yaks. Langtang village is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain.

After our breakfast in Langtang village, we endure a short trekking hours and reach Kyanjin Gompa.This place has an ancient Buddhist Monastary and a cheese factory nearb. After our Lunch, you can rest or have a short sightseeing trip to the nearby places.

Today is easy day of trekking, While going down you will see huge waterfalls. You will have lunch in Bamboo. Syabru is very beautiful Tamang majority village with good views of Ganesh Himal and Tibetan mountains.

Trek to Singompa (3250meters) 5 hours walk.
This Day, The trails from Thulo Syabru to Foprang Danda (3200meters) follows a steep ascent path passing through Dursagang (2660meters) along with the views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain, Hemlock and forests. Now the path gently ascends for a while then it follows a flat level to Sing Gompa. There is a well managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery. Singgompa provides panoramic views, exhilarating nature and Yak Cheese factory. The cheese manufactured here is considered the best in Nepal.

Trek to Gosaikund (4300meters) 5 hours walk.
Today, The first part of the trail emerges and we steadily climb up to Lauribinayak and the top of Lauribinayak gives you an exotic feeling. With a steep ascent all the way to Gosaikunda. You follow a rugged trail with dramatic views to the Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Tibetan peaks and Langtang Lirung. On a clear day, even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up behind and to the north also across the valley is Langtang Lirung. You pass a few huts in the high pasture of Laurebinayak, cross a small ridge and have your first view of the holy lake of Gosaikunda. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin the main three being Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda and Gosainkunda. According to legend Gosainkunda was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world.

Cross over the Laurebina Yak pass (4610m) then trek to Ghopte (3430m) 6 hrs walk.
This day, The trail leaves Gosaikund and climbs through rugged trail, past four small lakes to the Laurebina La (4610meters), the highest point of this trek. Keep looking back at the spectacular views of Manaslu and the mountains of the Ganesh Himal, as well as the now familiar Langtang Lirung. You then descend steeply to camp near Gopte.

Trek to Melamchi Gaon via Tharepati Pass (3490meters),6 hours walk.
In this day, The first part of the trail slightly descends and then begins to ascend through the rhododendron forests until Thearepati and then your trek goes in descending order. Before climbing to Tharepati, a group of herders' huts at 3579meters you cross a stream after coming through rhododendron, oak and juniper forests. From Tharepati the trail gradually descends through pine and rhododendron forest with good views down into the Helambu valley and across to Jugal Himal and Numbur in the Solu Khumbu. Melamchi Gaon is surrounded by beautiful forests, which is mainly inhabited by Sherpa people with their distinctive culture. Some Buddhist monasteries.

Trek to Tarkeghyang (2743meters), 5.30 hours walk.
The early part of the trek descends until you cross the stream named as Melamchi. Now you trek gently up to Tarkeghyang passing through Sherpa settlements. Tarkeghyang is a beautiful Sherpa village with one of the oldest and biggest monasteries.

Trek to Shermathang (2621meters), 5.30 hours walk.
Today the trail is quite easy through flat land with beautiful forests on the way. You trek on crossing some small streams on the way. Situated in a beautiful village on the half way to Shermathang. Shermathang is another pretty Sherpa village where you can visit many ancient monasteries. There you can see Jugal Himal range at the north face of Shermathang village.

Trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846meters), 5 hours walk.
The trail gradually descends all the way to Melamchi Pul Bazaar through meadows and cultivated fields. Along the way, you come across several old villages with their own particular traditions. Walking today is quite pleasant with mountain views and the possibility of interacting with locals as they are friendly peoplple.

You can get the visa at Tribhuwan International Airport after landing, furthermore it will be easier if you fill up the visa form by online (http://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa) before taking the flight to Nepal. Entry Visa fees- at present is $ 25 for 15 day, $ 40 for 30 days and $ 100 for three month visa on entry to Nepal.

All types of Hotels from a budget to Luxurious including five star services are available in Kathmandu. Normally, Global Holidays Adventure offers three hotel services in our outline itinerary. We can also accommodate according to your choice.
During Trekking: You will have teahouse/Lodges generally provide basic clean facilities with a mattress and a quit blanket. We can also offer Global Holidays Adventure's sleeping baggage if needed (which needs to be returned after the trip) but it’s always better to have a personal sleeping bag. We usually provide you single and double rooms as well as the occasional dormitory. During the peak season it is quite difficult to manage single room therefore double rooms are preferred in our outline itinerary.
Normally there are common toilet facilities in teahouses and lodges, which are usually neat and clean. Nowadays, some small number of teahouses and lodges offer attached restroom. We will provide you the best option as far as possible in this regard.
Normally there are hot water shower services in various teahouses and lodges. In the absence of such facility, the teahouse/lodges will provide you hot water bucket. The payment for the shower has to be made by yourself and the cost varies with the places.
Whilst on the trek, our porters who are honest and experienced, will take care of your luggage. All you need to carry is your small day bag for your personal belongings like camera, water bottle, sun cream, money etc. Normally, we assign one porters to carry the luggage of two trekkers.
Most of Teahouse cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian fare Pasta, Tuna Bakes, Noodles, Potatoes, Eggs, Dal-bhat, Bread, Soups, Fresh Vegetable ( variety depends on the season) and even some desserts like Apple Pies, Pancakes and some interesting attempts at Custard. You will find a lot of garlic items on the menu, eat some every day because it assists with acclimatization. In many larger villages you may find some meat on the menu. You can always get hot chocolate, tea, coffee, hot lemon as well as soft drinks. Each day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same lodge you spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to destination.
During the airport pick-drop and Kathmandu sightseeing we use private tourist vehicles of various categories such as cars, vans, micro, bus etc. according to size of the group. We use private Jeep to reach the starting point of the trek in Rasuwa.
The best season for this trek is October to mid-December and mid-February to mid-June. This trip is not preferred during the monsoon season from June to August except the treks to Himalayan rain shadow like Upper Mustang and Mt. Kailas.
Weather in the mountains is notoriously difficult to predict. Generally, nights are chillingly cold, whereas, the days are warmer. Winter (January and February) will be a bit colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. There will be a bit of snow during the month of January, February and December. The temperature inside the teahouses/lodges are fairly maintained. You can always sit beside a fire to keep yourself warmer. The temperature could be as high as 20 degree c to 15 degree c low during the day time.
These facilities will be available in most of the places in your Hotel reception by paying some service charges. Don’t forget to bring your adapters!!

ATM and credit card facilities can be used in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Above that, you need cash payments for various service you need.
In Kathmandu, you can allocate $ 10-15 for lunch and dinner. It all depends on your spending habits. $. 15- 20 a day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolate and few drinks in Trekking.
Well it totally depends upon you. There is trend of tipping the guide and porters in trekking. Tipping is a good way to acknowledge their works and thank them in a better way, something they would cherish and support their daily lives.
In most places bottled water is readily available. If you wish to drink normal water, you need to use purifying aid, better if you have some for yourself.
In case you suffer from altitude sickness or any other problems, we will offer you the doctor’s prescribed medicines according to the type of problem facing you. We will descend you and incase of extreme cases, you will get rescued by the helicopter.
In case of any casualties, travel insurance will be a boon to recover the incurred expenses. In case of helicopter rescue, the helicopter charge, which is little expensive, can also be recovered by your insurance. So it a good act to check you insurance validity and policy, whether it recovers the rescue charges or not.
Yes, it is absolutely possible to add some more days to the trip. Along your trek we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides, porters, accommodation and food.
